1 12 ounce can crushed Pineapple
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp white vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 Jalapeño, seeded and chopped
1/4 cup diced roasted Green Chile
In a heavy saucepan, add pineapple and juice from can, sugar salt vinegar, water, and green chile. Stir frequently and bring to a boil. Add jalapeño and remove from heat. This can be served warm or cold. For a finer salsa , place in a blender and pulse.
